This is an account of the 1931 expedition to Iceland’s Vatnajökull led by Brian Roberts. The expedition members made the sixth traverse of the ice-cap. The author was the expedition’s surveyor. This copy was presented by Roberts to Colin Bertram, himself a member with Roberts of the Cambridge Expedition to Scoresby Sound, Greenland, in 1933, and again with him on the BGLE 1934-7.
