This uncommon book, particularly in an original dust wrapper, records the visit & work of the author who visited Tristan da Cunha as a surveyor with the Norwegian Expedition of 1937-38. He corrected substantial inaccuracies in existing charts, made his own maps of the island and was the first man from the outside world to climb its central peak.
