Scarce, 1st edition. Multi-coloured card covers with black and white lettering to front and spine. Boards are worn and faded. Rear board shows some waterstaining around edges, this continues here and there within. Corners and board edges are worn. Spine is creased and torn. The front hinge is very weak, potentially re-glued. There has been an amateur repair with book tape to hold the b/w photographic frontispiece. Some fox. 117 pp. 15 b/w illustrations. The FFEP has the signature of Richard Hough, Naval Historian. There is a pencil note suggesting this book formed part of his library since childhood. When securely packed this item will weigh in the region of 307g. (YBP Ref: 034924:15i)
