Nansen's account of his expedition from Norway to 'Farthest North'. The last chapter is written by polar explorer and captain of the 'Fram', Otto Sverdrup, member of the expedition, even less known than Hjalmar Johansen (see next item) and Eivind Astrup. He reports on the last part of the voyage, the drifting part, after Nansen and Johansen have left the icebound ship in an attempt to reach the North Pole on cross country skis with their dogs.
