London: Jonathan Cape, 1922. First limited edition, first printing. One of seven hundred and fifty copies. This is a very good (or better) copy. Bound in quarter purple cloth which is sunned at the spine. The paper label is intact and the lettering more than legible. The paper covered boards are beautifully done, and create a complimentary effect to the cloth. The spine tips and corners are a touch bumped. Text blocks are free from foxing. There are no previous owners marks inside. This is a very good (or better) copy. Imaginary portraits of political characters, done in dialogue.
